Wellness and Community Health Institute (WACH)
The Wellness and Community Health Institute (WACH) at Clinton College in Rock Hill, SC is designed to engage public health consultants to provide technical assistance in the areas of strategic planning, program development, assessment, and evaluation. The Institute works in conjunction with the College, the Clinton Health ConNEXTion Program and the city of Rock Hill. The specific goals of the Institute include the following:
- Launch a Wellness and Community Health (WACH) Institute in the Charlotte, NC metropolitan area.
- Engage public health consultants to provide technical assistance in the areas of strategic planning, program development, assessment, and evaluation.
- Open a WACH Institute at Fountain Park Place in downtown Rock Hill.
- Coordinate with other HBCUs as well as other colleges and universities to identify opportunities for collaboration toward improving the health of citizens in this region of the state.
- Implement research and advocacy activities of the Institute to compliment academic programs and lay the foundation for establishing a School of Public Health at Clinton College.
