The Boeing Institute of Civility (BIC) is housed at Allen University in Columbia, SC and is designed to foster innovation and educational opportunities associated with careers fostering civility. The Institute seeks to train individuals to learn how to identify uncivil behavior in the workplace, create, model, and enforce a new standard of behavior, and ultimately promote respect and dignity among all people. The goals of the Institute are as follows:

• Prepare students and stakeholders to understand the importance and principles of a civil society.
• Offer training and programs to equip students, business leaders and their employees with practical tools for creating a respectful and equitable work environment.
• Provide workplace training that focuses on respectful behaviors and fair policies to boost teamwork, improve organizational performance and strengthen employee morale and engagement.
